Serving more than 100 youth each year, our Ft. Lauderdale shelter is one of the most important and impactful programs in Florida. In this facility, LSF’s dedicated and caring staff provides critical services to South Florida’s most vulnerable teens who have no other place to go. Upon this solid foundation, the program is poised to continue helping young people discover brighter futures.

For more than four decades, the Lippman Shelter has been a refuge for young people in Florida. As the only shelter in Broward County licensed for teens, it serves an important role to the area’s most vulnerable population. With on-site counseling, a highly-trained staff, and a solid reputation as one of the most experienced programs in the state, The Lippman Shelter continues to provide healing, and help to hundreds of families in crisis.

Our goal is to create a comfortable, safe and welcoming space for children who have experienced life-altering trauma at such a young age. The environment in which an adolescent’s counseling, group therapy, and personal development plays an significant role in their healing journey.
LSF’s program has long been revered as a bellwether for teen recovery, however after 70 years, the building is in need of critical repair and renovation from landscaping to lamps. We need your help to make this facility as exemplary as the program and people it houses.
